Who we are
Star Beginnings is a home day care service located at the intersection of McLean, Falls Church, and North Arlington. We are proud to serve to working moms and dads of the Washington metropolitan area!
We offers a safe, nurturing environment where your child will get the attention and care that he or she needs. Our ratio of children to adults is always within state guidelines – and often even lower – to make certain each child receives top-quality care.

Our Caring Team
Karima
Lead Teacher
Karima is the Lead Teacher and owner of Star Beginnings Home Childcare, a place filled with warmth, love, smiles and learning. As a mother to her own six children, she strives to provide a loving and nurturing environment for your children.
She has been a childcare provider for over 17 years, mostly in her own family child care program but also in a larger preschool. Karima holds a degree in Healthcare Management and a certificate in Global Health. She is CPR and First Aid certified. Karima also stays abreast of her field with training in child care and early education, including trainings in Positive Principles of Discipline, Caring for Infants, Emergency Preparedness, Nutrition for Young Children, and Reading for Young Children and Toddlers.
Beatrice
Teacher Assistant
Beatrice is a Teacher Assistant at Star Beginnings Home Daycare. Her goal as a teacher is to help children reach their potential in their journey towards developmental milestones.
At Star Beginnings Home Childcare, Beatrice strives to create and maintain an environment where your child can grow and thrive while exploring the world around them. When not working, Beatrice loves spending time with her family, going to concerts, and working on projects around the house.
Nura
Teacher Assistant
Nura is a Teacher Assistant at Star Beginnings Home Daycare. She loves taking care and nurturing children. Nura is a family oriented person who enjoys taking care of her family. She comes from a big family where she grew up learning how to care one for another and she is CPR and First Aid Certified.
Although Nura graduated the Law School, she decided to follow her passion for teaching children to strive in their everyday life. She is very creative and enjoys doings crafts and art with children. Nura always makes sure to also teach them how to solve problems, cooperate, share and show respect to each other through play.
